
The construction and financing of a cotton complex in the Kaka region is carried out on the basis of the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan “On the construction of a cotton complex in the Kaka region of Ahal Velayat” dated February 19, 2018 No. 673. Construction began in March 2018.
On August 25, 2021, the cotton complex was put into operation.
The complex consists of four factories. These are spinning, weaving, dyeing and finishing and clothing factories.
The production capacity of the complex's spinning mill is 3,650 tons of cotton and mixed fiber yarn per year.
The production capacity of the weaving factory is 12 million square meters of raw fabrics per year: cretonne, ranfors, gabardine, dyed fibers, fabrics for clothing, upholstery, etc.
The production capacity of the dyeing and finishing factory is 10 million square meters of finished fabrics per year. There is also a yarn dyeing facility.
The production capacity of the complex's garment factory is 1.2 million pieces of finished products per year, including shirts, trousers, jackets, coats, jeans, etc. for men.
Yarn and finished fabrics produced at the Kaka textile complex are, distributed to enterprises based on orders from the Ministry of Textile Industry. Finished products, are also, sold through the Altyn Asyr commodity center and a store located at the intersection of S. Turkmenbashi Avenue and Azadi Street. It is also, sold to the Buyers' Society on consignment basis.
In addition, yarn raw materials and finished clothing, are sold on, the basis of export contracts.
